Aspirin, NSAIDs, and ED

Further information on the association between aspirin and similar drugs and erectile function. A recent study in the Journal of Urology of 80,000 men has reported that regular use of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) - which include aspirin and ibuprofen - "is associated with erectile dysfunction beyond what would be expected due to age and co-morbidity."

  1. With the exception of possibly tylenol, I would not worry about OC pain killers causing impotence. Yes, all of them can make the liver have a harder time getting rid of estrogen, which could be a problem for men with hormonal problems, maybe? So maybe age is the most critical factor for most guys?

    Both aspirin and advil improve NO release in cells.
